Our post (American Legion LT. B. R. Kimlau Post 1291) has a few parades through Chinatown: the Memorial Day parade, the Veterans Day Parade. We parade down Mott Street to the Kimlau memorial, which was built back in the 1960s. Our chairmen had a lot to do with that. Our chairman (Peter C. Woo) and his lifetime dedication to the American Legion is tremendous.
