[ Ссылка ] Ai Weiwei, artiste majeur de la scène indépendante chinoise. Mais pas seulement. Ai Weiwei est architecte, activiste, entrepreneur, porte-parole politique, agent provocateur.
L'Américaine Alison Klayman réalise son premier documentaire, intitulé "Ai Weiwei : Never Sorry", "Jamais désolé". Le portrait inédit de l'artiste qu'elle a suivi depuis 2008, mais aussi le portrait d'une certaine Chine.
"Je pense que c'est le vrai Ai Weiwei que les gens vont découvrir dans ce film", souligne la réalisatrice. "Il est capable de parler de sujets sérieux, vitaux, des problèmes de la Chine mais il ne se prend pas trop au sérieux pour autant. Il est vraiment capable de s'amuser, de prendre du bon temps, et d'attirer toujours plus de monde dans le débat".
"Il analyse le système pour mettre au jour son fonctionnement et ses failles", poursuit Alison Klayman. "Il n'hésite pas à se mettre en avant. Comme quand il fait appel après son amende de 2,4 millions de dollars. Personne n'est surpris qu'il perde en justice mais ça lui permet de montrer à tout un chacun toute la corruption du système".
Ai Weiwei a été gardé au secret pendant 81 jours l'an dernier. Il est officiellement accusé de fraude fiscale et de pornographie mais rien ne le fait taire. Même s'il lui est actellement interdit de quitter de territoire.
"Ai Weiwei et moi restons en contact très régulièrement grâce à Twitter et parfois par SMS", explique la réalisatrice. "Je lui envoie des photos des projections du film parce qu'il n'a pas le droit de sortir de Chine".
