Pancit bihon is a classic Filipino noodle dish which is guaranteed to be found at every party or celebration. It is thought that eating long noodles during an important life event will bring good luck or signify "long life". Bihon noodles is made of cornstarch and rice flour. It is stir fried with a mix of vegetable and protein (usually pork, shrimp, or chicken). It is tossed in a soy sauce/oyster sauce base and drizzled with citrus juice. INGREDIENTS:
1 (8 OZ) PACK OF BIHON NOODLES
1 LB SHRIMP, PEELED AND DEVEINED
1 LB DICED PORK SHOULDER
2 TBSP MINCED GARLIC
1 CUP THINLY SLICED ONIONS
1 CUP JULIENNED CARROTS
1/2 HEAD OF CABBAGE, SHREDDED
1 CUP SLICED GREEN BEANS
3 TBSP OYSTER SAUCE
3 TSP CHICKEN BOUILLON
1-2 TBSP DARK SOY SAUCE
3 CUPS WATER
SALT AND PEPPER
LEMON WEDGES OR CALAMANSI
