Members of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Mines and Energy from May 20 to 21st,2013 attended an induction workshop at the Busua Beach Hotel in the in the Ahanta West District of the Western Region.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Chairman of the Select Committee, Mr Kwabena Donkor , said the workshop would assist members of the committee to offer effective oversight in the oil and gas and mining sectors.
The induction workshop was supported by STAR-Ghana a multi-donor (EU, Danida, USAID and DFID) funded programme which addresses the need to increase civil society and parliamentary influence in Ghana to foster better governance of public goods and services.
