The Hutton-Mdivani Jadeite Necklace
The exceptional Jadeite necklace was gifted to an American socialite and heiress Barbara Hutton, by her father at her wedding with the Georgian Prince Alexis Mdivani in 1933. The necklace is the epitome of grace and poise. It is made of 27 graduated jadeite beads, with a clasp of 18k yellow gold, rubies, and diamonds. This necklace has its history in royalty.
The Zoe Diamond
This stunning diamond was once the main star of Mrs Paul Mellon’s collection. It is one of the most expensive deep blue diamonds existing in the world today. The pear-shaped 9.75-carat diamond ring’s latest price is $32.6 million.
The Orange
The orange is known as the world’s largest orange vivid diamond. This jewel is worth approximately $36 million. It was sold at an auction in 2013 for $35.5 million. It is one of the most expensive per-carat gems. Each carat of this diamond is worth $2.4 million.
Blue Moon of Josephine
The Blue Moon diamond was bought by a convicted-felon fugitive billionaire Joseph Lau Luen-hung, in 2014. He bought this stunning stone for his 7-year old daughter Josephine and he also named the stone after her. The diamond is 12.03 carats and the felon bought it for $48.4 million.
L’Incomparable Diamond Necklace
As the name suggests, this necklace is the most expensive and valuable in the world. 407.48 carats of diamonds sit on a bed of 18K gold. At the centre of the necklace, there is a rare yellow diamond that is about the size of an egg.
Pink Star
The Pink Star is currently owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises in Hong Kong. They bought it from an auction for a whopping $71.2 million. The Pink Star was originally a 132.5-carat rough diamond. A renowned, international diamond miner “De Beers” mined it in 1999 from South Africa. After cutting the diamond for 20 months, the stone took its current shape.
The Hope Diamond
The most expensive and also the most famous jewel in the entire world is the Hope Diamond. It is a 45.52 carat beautiful blue stone. Experts think that the blue colour is the result of impurities that are caused by trace amounts of boron atoms.
