In this video I’m gonna share another food comfort . Here how I cook delicious PLOV. (Lamb Rice Pilaf)
Its amazing plov (instapot)
Ingredients:
1kg of lamb, cubed fat on but remove some if want less fat (Costco size about 35$) When picking, look for the one with less fat.
1 kg of rice (wash 3-5 times under cold water.)
2x285 gr of cut carrot precut in a bag (sold everywhere) or 3 large carrots shreded
2 Large Onion (or 3 medium ones) Chop it like you do it for Israel salad. One large onion about the size of bryans fist.
4 Garlics heads. Peel it but don’t take apart.
A cup of chickpeas 200gr. (canned )
250 gr of veg oil or sunflower oil
Spices:
2.5 table spoons of salt with NO TOP (I use pink salt from costco),
1 table spoons of cumin with top,
1 table spoons of coriander with top
+2 table spoons cumin SEED (not ground)
Directions
Turn the cooker on to sauté and wait until the oil is hot
Sauté Lamb (on a sauté option in a cooker) for about 15 min turning it. (it will give out water and not fully sauté, but its ok)
Add 2 table spoons of butter, onion and carrot
Add spices 2.5 table spoons of salt with NO TOP, 1 table spoons of cumin with top, 1 table spoons of coriander with top)
Let it sauté for about 10 minuts until the carrots and onion is soft.
add 800ml of hot water and mix Cover cooker with the top and turn it to meat pressure cook 20min. (it will take about 10 min to warm up and then start cooking) after it is done release the pressure valve DO NOT OPEN THE TOP until the pressure is released. When opening the valve do it with a spoon the heat will burn you.
After opening add chickpeas, 2 table spoons of cumin seeds with the top.
Mix it together
ADD rice (IMPORTANT DO NOT MIX RICE IN) just put it on top all around.
Use chopstick to poke 5 holes to the bottom DO NOT MIX
Add garlic to the top and press it into rice half way.
Close for 15 min rice cooking mode.
After 15 minutes is done. Let it sit for another 7 before releasing the valve.
