The Rolex GMT-Master II is one of the most iconic watches from the brand. Launched in 1954, it was commissioned by Pan Am Airlines for a functional pilot's watch that can display two timezones. Two of its most popular references are the 16710, and the 116710.
The 16710 is the last five-digit reference of the GMT Master II, and ran from 1989 to 2007. It marked the end of the aluminium insert bezel, among other changes. In 2007, the refernece 116710 took over, this time with the modern Cerachrom bezel. What else do these GMT Master II models represent and how do they differ? Learn more in our review.
