New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Friday barred Nehru Group Chairman P Krishnadas from entering Kerala. The court issued the order while hearing the state government’s petition in Jishnu Pranoy and Shaheer Shoukath cases.It asked Krishnadas to continue in Coimbatore where he is now stationed. He can come to Kerala only if the investigation team demands.The government had moved the Supreme Court, challenging the High Court order granting bail to Krishnadas in a case related to the death of Nehru Engineering College student Jishnu Pranoy.The government had also challenged the bail granted to him in a case related to the assault of another student Shaheer Shoukath. Additional Solicitor-General appeared on behalf of Kerala Government in SC. The government wanted the bail of Krishnadas cancelled. The court observed that it has taken a serious note of the case. Since the government has left the case to the CBI, it is essential to hear the opinion of the CBI. The agency will have two weeks to respond to the state government’s request, the court said.
