The Copernicus Relays network was established in 2016 as a part of Copernicus User Uptake activities put in motion by the European Commission. The Copernicus Relays are the regional voices of Copernicus in the individual Member States, thus bridging the European Commission and the end-users of Copernicus.

The establishment of Copernicus Relays was the first milestone of the new Space Strategy for Europe. They play a pivotal role in unleashing the vast potential of Copernicus Sentinel data and service information to change our world for the better.
