After theme parks in California finally fully reopened, Universal Studios was the first park we went to. We also went to Taste of Universal, and the park was very empty. Unfortunately it was the opposite this day, and seeing the wait times, we knew we would only get on two, maybe three rides for the day. That is common of course, but we wanted to celebrate a little and decided to upgrade our tickets to the Unlimited Universal Express Pass. It is a pretty pricey upgrade and we were a little worried we wouldn’t notice if it was worth it, so we kept track of the listed wait times vs. how long it took us to get on the ride. We were shocked at how fast it was! Because this was our first and only time getting the express pass, I can’t say for sure it will be as good every time. But from what we experienced, and what the employees said about it, I think it will help a great deal on any busy day.
Inside clips of stores are all from the day we went for Taste of Universal. All the merch I saw was the same on both days, and it was nice how empty the stores were, so I decided to use those clips.
