The Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update as well as the Phantom Liberty expansion pack have significantly changed CPU performance in the game. There is also now an AMD Simultaneous Multithreading (SMT) setting available under the gameplay options which can affect CPU performance. Ray tracing also puts an additional burden on the CPU. In this video we look at CPU limited performance on a variety of CPUs and also explore how the AMD SMT button affects performance as well as other game settings like crowd density and Ray Tracing, including RT Overdrive.
