Tiny houses are a great option for sustainability and housing affordability, but what if they could also help solve climate change issues and provide a use for land at risk of sea level rise? Sophie reveals an idea in which tiny house communities create a use for this land while generating an income to fund how we adapt our coastlines in the future. Sophie Barrett (BSc.Arch) is a specialist in urban and building design, sustainability and strategic planning with over 20 years’ experience working in government and private practice. She is an Adjunct Senior Research Fellow with James Cook University and board member of the Tropical Urban Design Lab.
