Beijing has said Washington should stop oppressing Chinese companies without cause, after reports that the Trump administration may be targeting around 90 Chinese firms. They are accused of having ties to the military, and could be banned from buying US goods and technology. Most of the firms are aerospace companies, including giants AVIC and Comac. The news could also hurt companies like Boeing, as US firms will need to seek licences before selling parts and components to China.
