Cascais, Portugal -- a picturesque old town on the Atlantic Ocean has briefly become a place of spiritual pilgrimage as the site of the NKT International Fall Festival. Over 7000 people have journeyed here from 60 countries - from A-Z, Alaska and Argentina, Austria and Australia through to Zululand!! They have gathered here to enjoy a spiritual holiday together and especially to meet (many for the first time) Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso - a fully accomplished Kadampa meditation master who has pioneered the introduction of modern Buddhism into contemporary society. Buddha's teachings are for everyone, for international benefit, and now through Geshe-la's tireless energy, touching hearts all over the world, modern Buddhism is truly international with simultaneous translation of his teachings into 16 languages.
