In this video, I show you how to do a test print from a Canon Pixma MG6851 inkjet printer, directly from the machine itself. This means that this method can be used with the PC off, or even if your printer is not connected to anything at all.
A nozzle check is a great way to troubleshoot print quality issues with your Canon printer, and check the printer's ability to produce black, photo black, cyan, magenta and yellow from the installed PGI-570 and CLI-571 cartridges.
This page can be printed directly from your Canon Pixma MG6851 and does not require an attached computer/laptop. Although we have used the Pixma MG6851 in this video, the process is the same for the black version of the printer, the Canon Pixma MG6850. In addition to the machines mentioned, this method is identical for the rest of the Canon Pixma MG6800 Series. These printers include the MG6810, MG6820, MG6821, MG6822, MG6840, MG6852, MG6853, MG6860, MG6865, MG6866, MG6870, MG6880 and MG6890
