Ingredients
Maida/plain Flour - 175 Gms
Icing Sugar - 65 Gms
Unsalted Butter - 115 Gms
Sugar - 1 Cup
Butter - 6 Tbsp
Fresh Cream - 1/2 Cup
Milk Chocolate - 500 Gms
Method:
1. Add maida/all purpose flour, icing sugar to a sieve and seive them into a large bowl.
2. Add unsalted butter to the bowl and mix it along with the flour mixture.
3. Once it is all combined and a soft, nice dough is formed, place it in a tray lined with a butter paper and even it out.
4. Place the tray in an oven and bake the dough for 15 mins at 180 degrees centigrade. Place the baked short bread cookie aside.
5. Take a sauce pan and add sugar to it. Keep the flame on low and melt the sugar until it is rich brown in colour like caramel.
6. Now remove the pan from the stove and immediately add butter. Keep mixing until the butter melts.
7. Once the butter is melted completely, add the fresh cream and combine it all well.
8. After the caramel sauce is done, pour it on the short bread cookie and spread it out evenly. Refrigerate the coated cookie bread for atleast 8 hours.
9. Take a pan and boil water in it. Place a bowl with milk chocolate over it and melt the chocolate completely.
10. After 8 hours, remove the caramel cookie bread from the fridge and cut it into strips.
11. When the melted chocolate is slightly warm and still in melted state, place the caramel cookie bread strips and coat them with the chocolate.
12. After they are all done, refrigerate them for 30 mins.
13. Take out the twix bars from the fridge and remove the extra pieces.
14. Homemade Twix Chocolate Bars are ready to be served.
15. You can wrap them and place them in either room temperature or in refrigerate them.
16. These chocolate bars are best for gifting.
