Ken discusses a fairly complicated aspect of integral theory - the distinction between social and individual holons. n.b. a holon - a conceptual unit of understanding that signifies the idea that things are simultaneously wholes and parts at the some time eg. an atom is a whole in itself, yet it may also be a part of a larger whole called a molecule, and so on.
