As a student, Sully was involved in the university’s A Cappella Society for a number of years, including two as President. Sully took sabbatical leave from his studies to stand as the Liberation Officer of the Students’ Union in 2021/22 and then Union Development Officer in 2022/23. Since then, he has worked part-time for the university as the Universities for Nottingham Project Manager (EDI).
