Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas is due to visit Paris, where delegations from more than 70 countries are expected to urge Israel and the Palestinians to officially re-state their commitment to the two-state solution on Sunday.

But as Israeli settlements continue to expand in the occupied territories, just how likely is a viable Palestinian state in the near future?
