Paterson, NJ – Saturday, August 24, 2024, Mayor Andre Sayegh, alongside the Puerto Rican Parade Committee of Paterson, will proudly raise the Puerto Rican flag at Paterson City Hall to commemorate the 52nd Anniversary of this significant tradition. The flag-raising will honor several distinguished individuals and organizations for their contributions to the community, including:

Robert Guarasci - New Jersey Community Development Corp. (NJCDC)
Nicholas Rodriguez - Inner City Ensemble (ICE)
United Puerto Rican Council
Rodriguez Deli & Restaurant--
Tamara Rivera - Paterson Housing Authority
Erica Plaza - Community & Education Advocate
Dennis Guzman - Young Rising Star
And other special guests.
This year's celebration theme is "Preparing the Next Generation ~ Creating a Path for Our Future Leaders," emphasizing the importance of community involvement in nurturing and guiding the leaders of tomorrow.
Following the ceremony, attendees are invited to join in the festivities at Eastside Park from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM. There will be music, unity, and support for Paterson Youth in the Liga Roberto Clemente Baseball Tournament. The event will feature music, dance, awards, and light refreshments.
