2 Corinthians 4:8 (KJV) We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;
A. One of the hardest things to face is difficult times
B. When the difficulties of life begin to mount-up, it can be hard to hold it together
C. Holding it together goes against the natural tendencies of falling apart
D. Holding it together is an act of faith that trains our emotions to be under our control
E. Falling apart doesn’t fix difficult times; it attaches you to the difficult times through your emotions
F. Falling apart causes you to embrace the worst possible outcomes
G. Falling apart is an open door that invites hopelessness, despair, distress
H. Holding it together is an open door to hope
I. Holding it together starts with meditating on God’s Word, surrounding yourself with strong people, avoiding pity parties
