Sontronics' founder and designer, Trevor Coley, introduces our STC-3X Pack, a multi-pattern condenser microphone with accessories.
The Sontronics STC-3X is based on our best-selling STC-2 cardioid condenser microphone, but features three polar patterns – cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-of-eight – plus three-stage filter and pad switches. The STC-3X is available in black or silver and comes with free accessories, including a spider-style shockmount (with spare elastics), a dual-layer nylon-mesh popshield that fits on to the shockmount, a 5-metre XLR cable and a zip-up storage pouch, giving you everything you need to start recording straight out of the box.
Like all our condenser mics, it features our signature smooth high-frequency roll-off and gives outstanding results on everything from vocals and spoken word (it's great for podcast!) to piano, acoustic guitar, drums, solo instruments, guitar amps, group/ensemble recording, interview, overhead and room miking.
A brilliant all-rounder that will give you better sound and more flexibility than any other mic in this price range!
Sontronics users include: Abbey Road Studios, Aerosmith, Bernard Butler, Keane, Underworld, Muse, Blur, Queens of the Stone Age, Bring Me The Horizon, PJ Harvey, Air Studios, Cenzo Townshend, Paul Epworth (Adele, Coldplay), Michael Price (Sherlock), Alan Moulder, Enter Shikari, Gary Numan, Ed Harcourt, Carey Willetts (Athlete), Stephen Street (Blur, The Smiths), John Parrish (PJ Harvey, Tracy Chapman), Simon Gogerly (Paloma Faith, U2, Texas), Will Jackson (Kaiser Chiefs, Pigeon Detectives), Steve Price (Gravity, Fury) and many more!
