In this solved exercise, we determine the differential equation governing the
variation of the voltage across a capacitor fed by a constant voltage, the
differential equation governing the voltage across the capacitor during
discharging, the expression of the time constant of the RC circuit, and the
expression of the discharge current. Furthermore, we calculate the energy
remaining in the saving life capacitor after supplying energy to the patient, the
duration of operation of the saving life capacitor, and the average power delivered
to the patient during operation.
