How Ben Franklin Structured His Day
He was a significant person in the history of physics and the American Enlightenment as a scientist for his work on electricity as well as for charting and naming the Gulf Stream, which is still known today. He is credited with many inventions, including the lightning rod, bifocals, and the Franklin stove. He established numerous civic institutions, such as the University of Pennsylvania, the Library Company, and Philadelphia's first fire department, among others. [4] Franklin became known as "The First American" due to his early and tireless efforts to promote colonial union, as well as his role as an author and representative of numerous colonies in London.
