In many cases exact cause of tail bone pain is not known with exception of local trauma or child birth being the triggering factors. Once the pain subsides it is vital to minimize sitting periods and special seating aids are given to minimize the impact on tail bone. These sitting aids can be either donned shaped or u shaped or v shape, basically they are designed to minimize the impact on tailbone. These seating aids have to be used for a minimum of 6 weeks from the commencement of symptoms. When the tailbone pain is associated with bowel movements then laxatives or stools of nerves are prescribed to minimize tailbone pain.
