The Winchester Mystery House in San Jose, California is one of the most interesting, fascinating, and haunted houses in the world. When Sarah Winchester lost several members of her immediate family back in the late 1800s, she visited a psychic who told her that she would be haunted for life. The only way to appease the spirits was to move west and build a mega mansion. So Sarah Winchester moved west and started building the Winchester Mystery House, and she never stopped building until she passed away.
