The video of my trip to Maria Island is finally here! It has been a few busy days here in Hobart. Besides preparing for my upcoming adventure on the South Coast Track, I’ve written blogs and edited this Maria Island video simultaneously. I’ve also started on the ten reasons why you should visit Maria Island, but with the South Coast Track about to happen, that may be some weeks away! Here is the video, and as a result of this, I proudly present you my third Tasmanian after-movie. At the moment, I’m already doing better than when I started this travel adventure. Back then, I just made two videos of Thailand and stopped afterwards. If you want to be the first to check the upcoming posts, I suggest following me on Facebook, Instagram or subscribing to my newsletter! 🙂
Maria Island was incredible. I’ll post a little list of all the things that appear in the video below. But as I said in the ‘Next Stop: Port Arthur‘ post, during my four days on the island, I climbed both mountains with fantastic views all over the east coast, walked across the island, saw plenty of wombats, gooses and even a Tasmanian Devil. In conclusion, it was a big success. And besides being a big success, it also allowed me to wind down for a moment and enjoy the small things around me. On Maria Island, there are no cars, no shops, no electricity and even no inhabitants except for lots of wild animals. There is even a penitentiary where you can sleep, but I’ve chosen to camp as that allowed me to roam around the island without having to get back to Darlington, the main town, each time. Say no more, and you’ll get the feel by watching that video above.
