Kool FM by 1996 was king of the airwaves, its fanbase was seismic and their events of 1996 year were ram jam roadblocks, Jungle Fever 1996 "Midsummer Night's Fever" @ Club UN, Tottenham London N17, on Friday 14th June 1996. Also, Jungle Fever Saturday 28th September 1996, Halle 101 Speyer (Germany). Not forgetting, Kool Skool 1996 @The Powerhouse, Stratford London E15. Kool FM had set up it's own Jungle music record label, K Power Records. Special shouts out to DJs that remember Soap Bar Label - Kool Crew 94.5FM – "Junglist Massive" and "Take Control" (1993).
DJ Pressure X had all the dub plates of the most sought after unreleased tracks of Jungle era. Dropping classic after classic. Kool FM DJs were dub plate and promo kings. If there was someone who had the freshest beats before anyone else it was them. Pressure X was a resident DJ at Jungle Fever and one of his most memorable sets was his back to back to back session with DJ Ash an DJ Rodney T at The Sanctuary Music Arena, Milton Keynes, for Jungle Fever "The Wild Cats Back" Saturday 18th March 1995.
MC Blusey Gee (also known as MC Gee) was part of the Kool FM set up from the early days, his voice and lyrics about consciousness were a throwback of the Reggae sound systems. MC Gee was greatly loved by Kool FM listeners and was definitely underrated as MC of his era. He was on the bill for most of Kool FM early events throughout the 90s, and a resident at Jungle Fever, mainly featuring in the Hit Squad arena.
