My first time ever in premium economy, and a very good experience - good value for money, in my view. I was told premium economy was not worth it, being (with most airlines, I understand), just a shade above economy, but with LOT on this flight, it was closer to business. I got the business check-in (no bag drop at YYZ, so you have to queue to check in your baggage, whether you have checked in online or on the machine in advance or not) with is much shorter wait, the fast track at security (not that I needed it, as security happened to be empty), and the entire LOT business treatment on board, minus the flat bed (a concern if you need to have your wits about following landing but, like me, are unable to sleep while seated; LOT business class is a bed, but by no means a fantastic one by today's long haul standards), and minus the goody pouch (which, with LOT, once again is not much to write home about anyway).
I did not get lounge access, but that really is not a regret, with the quality of the Star Alliance/Air Canada lounge at the E Gates at T1.
