In this video we will spend a little extra time going over number 9 in the problem solving packet. This problem is a multi-step problem. Practice using some problem solving skills when addressing word problems like this one.
1. Visualize the problem - What is going on? Can you summarize the situation in your own words?
2. Which numbers matter? How do they relate to each other? Can you say which numbers represent which parts of the situation?
3. Make a plan, write your equation(s) and solve! Take your time on this part! rewrite your equation for each step, don't take any shortcuts! Shortcuts often lead to simple mistakes!
