Paper Mario has tons of unused content, but only a small fraction of it can be accessed without hacking the game. Thanks to glitches developed by speedrunners, we've come across some hidden messages only found in the Japanese version.
The only requirement is doing Log Skip before completing Chapter 1. On English (and I assume PAL) none of these messages exist. In fact, there's a softlock exclusive to the English version, which appears to be as a direct result of the developers forgetting to replace the unused text after removing it.
