I spent a whole day in Sri Lanka during my travels this year. I stayed in a resort closer to the airport, Jetwing Sea. It was overall pleasant stay.

Since there was only 24 hours, I planned my day to show the streets of Colombo, eat in a nice restaurant to showcase the price, and roam around the shopping streets. The fuel crisis still exists in the country but it's actually improving. Still, most of the shops were closed during the weekend, and there were police and military in most places.
