I've decided to rebuild the front Cyberdrop wheel motor into a wider rim, so that the Schwalbe 2.35" Pickup tire fits better - a 26mm Internal rim width should do it. I'll take care of that when I get to Charleston, SC.

The SBM Solar panels are holding up great and averaging between 150-180 watts as read by the BMS (so after all controller and wire length losses). This is in the sun without me thinking about angles or optimizing in any way. Much of the benefit of the panels is psychological: I can charge my all my gear, have the fan blasting, and still not be drawing down the battery. Over the course of a sunny day, I'm getting nearly 1 kW of energy, which adds up to as much as an extra 25 miles in range.

Current mechanical issues: Bullitt cargo bike both front and rear Grin hub motors are shuddering/cutting out with aggressive braking. It was never a problem with this same setup when I first started, so I'm investigating what might be causing it now. I've reduced the max regen current in the Phaserunner controller to avoid the worst of the issue, at the cost of reduced regen braking power. I need to solve this one!

Psychologically, I am pushing through a bleak period, questioning myself and what the hell I'm doing out here. But I recognize it as a phase that will pass. The creative project of making these videos gives some goal-oriented structure that helps my mind lock onto something concrete.
