Maya Angela Hernandez George (1997-2007) recited a poem by her namesake Dr. Maya Angelou to celebrate Black History Month in February 2005. The play was written by Judy Flora, her 2nd grade teacher at Westlake Elementary School in Santa Cruz, California.
