The helicopter is additionally equipped with cabin mounted 12.7 mm Heavy Machine Gun for target neutralisation.
Impressive delivery rate of HAL
The whole process of Induction of ALH MK-III started from March 2017 when HAL had received an order for 32 ALH MK-III for Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard to replace their aging fleet of helicopters with new improved version of ALH Dhruv MK III. The HAL is in the process of producing and delivering helicopters to the Coast Guard for four bases at Porbandar, Bhubaneshwar, Kochi and Chennai.
In the year 2022 or in last 6 months itself HAL has delivered 26 ALH MK-III – 13 each to Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard which means only 6 more ALH MKIII need to be built by HAL to complete the order.
