Damage dealt must be at least 35% of the total strength of enemy tanks and at least 1000 units. If the amount of damage is equal, the medal is given to the player who gained the most experience for the battle. Only one award per battle is given.
This can be quite challenging, as you not only need to shoot accurately, but also be able to use tactics and terrain effectively.
