The CO2 Scrubber is a fascinating piece of equipment that allows you to control various aspects of its operation through its levers and dials. It doesn't only generate oxygen - it also controls your base's electricity consumption and temperature levels. However, keep in mind, it's not all smooth sailing: if the temperature exceeds 100 degrees, it can cause dramatic accidents, from launching you across the room to starting a fire. Therefore, it's best to keep it operating at a low level until you've unlocked the fire extinguisher.

This equipment will primarily serve to refill your oxygen bottles and handle CO2. Later in the game, as you grow trees and plants and install Sabatier reactors, these will provide enough oxygen for your base, rendering the CO2 Scrubber less critical for oxygen production.
