the final Egyptian God's Wife of Amun at Thebes, Ankhenesneferibre
Ankhnesneferibre was the daughter of one of the Saite Kings. She was the last to be given the title of Divine Wife of Amun which imposed a strict rule of chastity.
Because of the title, she wielded as much influence as the king in the Theban area. This statue dates from the 26th Dynasty, c. 664 - 525 BC.
