The new Sonoff MINI-R4 extreme is tiny! Sonoff claims that its the Smallest Wi-Fi Smart Switch Ever! I thought it would be fun to show you how easy it is to install, on a typical British 3-way lighting circuit. The United Kingdom has a distinctly different type of 3-way lighting circuit, compared to how things are done in Europe. This actually makes the MINI-R4 very simple to install in the UK, on 3-way lighting, even if you don't have a neutral connection behind the light switch. In Europe you would probably have to pull extra wires to make it work, on a 3-way lighting circuit.

I only tried the WiFi only version for this video, but the zigbee version(requires zigbee hub) is a NO-NEUTRAL option for a future video

00 Intro
29 The Wi-Fi version of the MINI-R4 (extreme) requires a neutral connection!
37 The zigbee version(Sonoff ZBMINI Extreme) does NOT require a neutral connection (NO-neutral) but you need a zigbee bridge.
55 Its possible to connect the Wi-Fi version, to a UK lighting circuit even though there's no neutral behind the light switch.
37 I'll show you how to connect the Wi-Fi version, to a 3-way "UK lighting circuit"
47 Take a screenshot of the wiring diagram
30 Use a bigger ceiling rose cover or pop it above the ceiling in its own box?
05 British three-way lighting is very different to Europe and the rest of the world (its a bit weird but cool)
58 If you're using more than two switches, you need intermediate switches in the middle.
18 To zigbee or not to zigbee, that is the question🤔
58 Comparing the mini extreme to the previous sonoff miniR2 (S1 & S2 terminals are different)
