You've all heard of Char Siu Pork... but have you heard of Char Siu Chicken?? This recipe is for those who love the taste of your classic Chinese style barbeque with a twist that'll blow you away. It's a lot more simple than the pork version as the cooking time is shortened and the only preparation you need with the meat is marinating it. Try it today!
Ingredients | 材料
Chicken thigh 600g | 雞髀肉 600 克
Salt 1/2 tsp | 鹽 1/2 茶匙
White pepper 1/4 tsp | 胡椒粉 1/4 茶匙
Five Spice Powder 1 tsp | 五香粉 1 茶匙
Sugar 1 tbsp | 糖1 湯匙
Honey 1 tbsp | 蜜糖 1 湯匙
Ginger 1/4 tbsp | 姜 1/4 湯匙
Shaoxing wine 1 tbsp | 绍兴酒 1 湯匙
Sesame oil 1 tbsp | 麻油 1 湯匙
Light soy sauce 3/4 tbsp | 生抽 3/4 湯匙
Dark soy sauce 1 tsp | 老抽 1 茶匙
Hoisin Sauce 1 tbsp | 海鮮醬 1 湯匙
Char Siu Sauce 2 tbsp | 叉燒醬 2 湯匙
Honey Syrup (to brush on top) 1/2 tbsp water + 1 tbsp honey | 蜂蜜糖漿 (1/2湯匙水 + 1 湯匙蜂蜜)
