We are experimenting with a popular soap design this week - Watermelon! But, we are adding a twist. We will be using completely natural ingredients to try and create the design. This means no micas, oxides or synthetic additives. Watermelon design soaps are such a classic, summery design and we wanted to see what could be created when only using natural ingredients.
We won't be scenting the soap (sadly, Watermelon essential oil just doesn't exist) but we will be creating a soap that really looks the part!
Follow our cold process recipe and tutorial for details on how you can make this at home!
Our soaps are all palm oil free and this one is vegan friendly too.
The ingredients we used for this soap are as follows:
Water 220g
Sodium Hydroxide (Lye) 109g
Olive Oil 340g
Coconut Oil 184g
Shea Butter 75g
Cocoa Butter 36g
Castor Oil 57g
Sweet Almond Oil 99g
1 tsp Spirulina Powder
1 tsp Nettle Powder
1 tsp French Green Clay
1 tbsp Moroccan Red Clay
1 tbsp Poppy Seeds
