Welcome to our planting journey 🌱 and adding to our common plant pests list - Spider mites! While spider in the garden are welcome to keep a balance, spider mites… not so much!
Closely related too ticks and spiders, these sap sucking pests are highly undesirable and can be difficult to rid of once established

They generally live on the undersides of leaves, feed by puncturing the plant leaf cells as you can see here and are no larger than a pin head

There are 2 common types referred to as red spider mite and two spotted spider mite

Today I am will be smothering and treating with white oil and reapply in 7 days and will monitor closely

Ensure to isolate, treat & monitor

Remember, anytime you use a product/chemical, refer and follow the SDS & wear appropriately fitting PPE
