We witnessed the grandeur of 50 impressive tall ships as they docked at Helsinki’s picturesque harbor. This annual event brought together thousands of young sailors from diverse backgrounds, promoting education, cooperation, and cultural exchange. Helsinki, along with Klaipeda, Tallinn, Turku, Mariehamn, and Szczecin, served as one of the six host ports for this year's race, transforming the city into a vibrant maritime festival that attracted around 500,000 visitors.
From July 4–7, 2024, the event took place in the heart of Helsinki at Eteläsatama, Kauppatori, Katajanokka, Kanavaranta, and Pohjoisranta. As Europe’s largest free family event, The Tall Ships Races offered an array of activities and programs for all ages, ensuring a memorable experience for both the public and the ship crews.
