9 - How to Read a COA (Certificate of Analysis) for CBD Quality Control - including for heavy metals

“With any COA, a lot of them now are going to show the picture of the CBD Product, they will show the Lot Number, the name of the product, as well as the company that is providing the product. So those are going to be the First things you will want to look for.

You are going to look at the Lot Number on your CBD Tincture (make sure those Lot Numbers match). This will let you know you are looking at the same Certificate of Analysis for that Product Lot. Secondly, you are going to look at Cannabinoids and the potency. There will be 14-16 cannabinoids (will get bigger with more research). Will generally be ND (not detected), LOA (Limit of Quantitation) and it's going to have a number generally expressed in mg/ml or mg/g.

If expressed in mg/ml – you can take this number and multiply it by the number of ml in your CBD bottle.

EXAMPLE: With Hempworx CBD oil – there's 30ml in the bottle and so for 750mg of Hempworx CBD (so you would expect to see 25mg/ml in Hempworx 750mg)

So to clarify example – there would be 750mg TOTAL in Hempworx CBD bottle. 1 serving size would be 1 ml which would be about 25mg per serving.
