using the new-ish version of automation, haven't tried this strategy on the kee engine version of automation!

ENGINE:

direct injection, per cylinder, race intake
ultimate fuel
fuel mixture at max (10:1)
ignition timing at max
rpm at max (then tune down just enough so the stress on engine parts isn't at 100%)

Exhaust:

dual exhaust if possible
max exhaust size (then tune down from there)
no mufflers, no catalytic converter

Tuning process:
1st step:
-----------------------------------------------------
start by reducing the rpm limit until the piston rpm stress goes bellow 100%
-----------------------------------------------------
2nd step:
-----------------------------------------------------
then go to the turbo, and lower the turbine size until you reach max power
then lower the intercooler size until you reach max power
then repeat until you can't get any more power when adjusting either the turbine size or intercooler size
-----------------------------------------------------
3rd step:
-----------------------------------------------------
increase the compression as much as you can without the engine knocking
-----------------------------------------------------
4th step:
-----------------------------------------------------
then repeat step 2
(note: if the engine starts knocking while you are adjusting the turbo settings, decrease compression by 1-2 clicks)

5th step:
-----------------------------------------------------
decrease exhaust size until you reach max power
(note: in some cases decreasing the exhaust size will not increase power, in which case you can just leave it at max)

6th step:
-----------------------------------------------------
go back and repeat all steps again!
