Saying goodbye to Tropicana was pretty heartbreaking. The resort definitely had its ups and downs, but just thinking about how this was one of the last standing hotels from the 1960s made us sad. This hotel and casino opened in April 1957 and is closing its doors on April 2, 2024. The demolition is to start some time in October to make way for a new stadium for the Oakland A's.
