The International Fund for Cultural Diversity provides international development assistance, with a distinct focus on strengthening the cultural industry value chain in developing countries. To date, it has supported over 90 projects in over fifty developing countries.
The Fund is unique in the cultural funding landscape. This spans the international non-profit development sector and the culture and arts sectors. The International Fund for Cultural Diversity was established by the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (2005). This international standard-setting instrument ensures that artists, cultural professionals, practitioners and citizens worldwide can create, produce, disseminate and enjoy a broad range of cultural goods, services and activities.
