Shift and their rehearsal director Lucy Evans, in collaboration with filmmaker Jo Cork have worked together to create this piece. As the company returned to the studio to dance together for the first time this year, and the opportunity to perform arose again, questions around who they perform for and what their role as a performer is emerged. From that stimulus Perform Us was created using choreography devised by the company members and by Lucy.

Shift is The Place's youth dance company for young people aged 14-19 years. The company is led by rehearsal director Lucy Evans, who supports the group throughout their own choreographic projects, in working with external artists and choreographers, and in rehearsing work ready for performances.
