Twenty-three year old Apdaly Lopez hails from Tecate, Baja California and is a second generation off-road racer under his father Juan Carlos Lopez. Apdaly made his professional off-road racing debut in 2011, and since then has racked up multiple wins in the desert and Stadium Super Trucks. The soft spoken Mexican native won the Baja 1000 in 2017, solidifying his place among the best in the sport. But the Mint 400 has eluded him thus far. Last year Apdaly was leading the race on the final lap when he suffered a catastrophic engine failure.
