Watching recent videos from Biffa and Yumble on intersections versus Roundabouts I felt like there was an opportunity being missed so I started my own little exploration down the rabbit hole. I live in Florida and recently our city has been instituting flyovers for just ablout every heavy traffic spot they can identify. As a guy who dislikes stopping, I set out to make a continuous flow intersection with center-lane flyovers.

No despawning. No dead-end despawns either, I went out to the edges of the cut-off roads and connected them all so every ounce of traffic had a chance to fill the road. I used a Roundabout to let what would normally be crossing traffic keep moving. It is an intersection, not an interchange; no highway roads, no speeds over 45 MPH. As an intersection it should be traversable by bikes and pedestrians. I don't recall anything about the road being at-grade so a flyover seemed perfect and really appears to have done the trick.

The result is the double flyover roundabout with sliplanes seen here. The roads are busy but never backed up. It's all surface-roads, no highways. The thing that surprised me most is that a couple of simple two way roads across the center alliviated all that straight-ahead traffic in the center with no problem.

The center roundabout is 64u and the sliproads are 20u out from the roundabout's edge...Soooo, it is fairly massive... BUT... it really moves the traffic well.

Last minute addition was the pedestrian flyover to limit the squish factor, since I removed all the crosswalks.
